All Calgary Public Library locations, including book drops, are temporarily closed until further notice, as of March 16 at 12:01 am. Library leadership will continue to work with the City of Calgary and Alberta Health Services to track the issue and determine when it is appropriate to return to normal service levels.

Returns, holds, and fines during location closures

My book is due, but I can’t come into a Library. What do I do?

As part of the Library's response to COVID-19, no fines are being accrued on any overdue item and all due dates have been extended until June 30, 2020. Please check your account for revised due dates or contact us online or by phone for more details.

I have a hold ready; can I pick it up?

No, all locations remain closed. Curbside Holds Pick-up is being piloted as a contactless service, with more details and instructions available in the coming weeks. All current holds on physical items are being extended until June 30, 2020. Please stay tuned for updates on return to normal service levels.
